Frequently Asked Questions

Answers for Path Academy FC Families.

We’ve gathered the most common questions families ask about Path Academy FC so you can better understand the expectations, structure, and commitment involved in our academy environment.

FAQ 01

How much commitment is required?

For Academy players, a mutual one-year commitment lasting until the following year’s tryout period is expected. Families are asked to give careful consideration to absences so the impact on teammates is minimized, and regular practice attendance is encouraged.

FAQ 02

What happens during tryouts?

During tryouts, players are evaluated by the coaching staff through individual and group activities. Coaches assess current skill level, desire, potential, and overall fit in order to place players where continued growth and learning are best supported.

FAQ 03

Will Academy teams travel all over the state or country?

No. Most games are played locally in the metro Atlanta area against nearby clubs. Teams may participate in 1–2 local select tournaments per season, and extended travel is rare under age 12.

FAQ 04

When are training sessions for Academy teams?

Team training usually takes place 2–3 times per week with sessions lasting approximately 75–80 minutes. Families cannot request specific practice days or times, since all players in the same age group train on the same schedule.

FAQ 05

What are the costs for Pre-Academy and Academy?

Academy costs typically fall within the average range of local clubs, approximately $1,050–$1,550 per year, with payment plans available. Tournament fees are separate and usually range from $55–$85 per player per event.

FAQ 06

What about uniforms?

Uniform costs generally range from $170–$270. The club uses a two-year uniform cycle, 2025 - 2027. Uniforms purchased in Fall 2025 are intended to be worn through Spring 2027. Mid-season or mid-year entry does not include uniform discounts.
